SMC’s rulebased system can check a model for a very wide range of conditions, including identifying elements, such as load-bearing walls, that might be missing from a design; highlighting rooms that do not meet accessibility requirements; and flagging situations where an insufficient number or type of escape routes have been provided under the relevant local regulations.

SMC has also been designed to incorporate feedback from on-site experience to further reduce the risk of designs coming unstuck during construction.

As a result, SMC has succeeded in helping customers make savings running into millions of euros on just a single project, by eliminating errors in the virtual world that would have required major on-site rework in the real world.
