New markets for Mendor’s diabetes technology
Mendor – the start-up behind a revolutionary, easy-to-use, all-in-one blood glucose meter for diabetics – recently extended the scope of its marketing with agreements covering Qatar in the Middle East and the Baltic countries.
The Qatar agreement will bring the Mendor DISCREET™ blood glucose meter and Mendor BALANCE™ self-care software to the Gulf through Ebn Sina Medical – Qatar, the country’s number-one provider of pharmaceuticals and medical supplies. Ebn Sina Medical represents many of the worlds leading names in pharmaceuticals, as well as medical and scientific equipment and consumer health products.
The agreement penned with international health care company, Mediq, a couple of weeks earlier will open up Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania to Mendor’s technology. Mediq is an international provider of pharmaceuticals, medical supplies, and associated care with operations in 15 countries.
Founded in 2006, Mendor designs, develops, and markets innovative diabetes care products. Its first product, a blood glucose meter known as DISCREET™, has received high praise from clinicians and diabetologists around the world and includes everything needed for daily blood glucose measurements in an integrated, all-in-one device the size of a cell phone. Also included is a license for BALANCE™, an advanced Internet-based self-care application designed to enable diabetics to get a full picture of the status of their treatment.
